I've been visiting Florida since I was a kid. JFK to MCO (Orlando) was actually my first flight, back when I was around 6 years old I think. Obviously, that first trip was very exciting for me, because look how I turned out. What was initially exciting about Florida was Disney World.

Now, as an adult, my favorite thing about traveling to Florida is that it's cheap. At the right time, you can get a roundtrip from NYC for like, $60. Nothing money is what Florida costs, and I love them for it. The beaches are beautiful. the state doesn't really have a shortage of things to do, and it's always warm. Why let your wallet cry by booking a flight to a Caribbean hotspot when you could just go to Florida for damn near nothing?
