WASHINGTON D.C.
Washington D.C., the U.S. capital, is a city bordering the states of Maryland and Virginia. Currently, I have only been to D.C. three times, so these are the best recs I can think of. When we move down to the area in a few years, this page will be more frequently updated as I discover new things.

Truthfully, I've never been to a bar in D.C. before. Check back here for future updates on this section.
Eateries
1776 Wilson Blvd, Arlington, VA 22209
Friendly neighborhood bar serving casual fare and classic pub staples. We came here after Jarren graduated from Officer Candidate School for celebratory brunch on recommendation by our friend, T.J., who'd been here a handful of times before and swore it would be a good time. He was absolutely right. Although we did have to wait a bit to be seated because of how busy they were, the food was good, and what was even better was their $5 bottles of champagne and $5 juice carafes to go with it. Cheap brunch is the best brunch.

My Review:
This hotel is pretty nice and is located in a decent area in terms of visiting downtown D.C. without racking up a downtown D.C. bill. It's only like, a 15 minute drive from most of the things tourists want to do in D.C. and is surrounded by restaurants and bars. It's a good value for a short trip, in my opinion.
